Mixing

The goal of mixing is to bring out the best in your multi-track recording by adjusting levels, panning, and time-based audio effects (chorus, reverb delay) The aim is to sculpt your arrangement to make sense of all your tracks in relation to each other.

A vital part of the mixing process is to have some control of your artistic and creative vision that will take your music to the next level. That’s where we come into the picture.  Communicating your thoughts and ideas to The Worx Studio is vital to a successful mix.

We work closely with you to ensure that the tracks that you provide us reflect your personal vision.

My name is Mitchell Friesen and I’ve always had a passion for music. I’ve been playing guitar for 15 years, starting with a primary focus on blues and developing more into rock n’ roll as the years went by. I started playing in bands when I was around 15 and performing at local venues in the Steinbach / Winnipeg region as I continue to do so now. Throughout my musical career I have been fortunate enough to have shared the stage with Canadian classic rock band, Harlequin, as well as assist with stage setup and Front of House sound for Colin James.

In 2015 I graduated from Mid Ocean School of Media Arts in Winnipeg, studying sound for film, how to mix and master tracks in a recording studio, and gather sound effects and incorporating them into video games. Following my graduation from Mid Ocean, I was employed at Golden West Broadcasting doing production of commercials, voice tracking, and live sound for in-house concerts.
